How should i interpret my tactics trainer rating

So I have recently seen a huge increase in my tactics rating. I am currently 1950 in it, which is an over 500 point increase the last month. I am rated 1480-ish in rapid, and find it weird that I have a tactic rating this high. Now, this post is not meant to be a brag of my tactic rating, it is actually the opposite. I feel like I miss A LOT of tactics when I play, and the main reason is of course that when I solve puzzles, I KNOW that there is a tactic to be found, whereas when I play a normal chess game I don't know when there is a tactic to be found.
So what does a tactic/puzzle rating really mean? And how can I translate those skills over to my games. Is their ways to see if a position might have a tactic, or do i just have to spend 4 minutes looking for one every time i make a move haha.

It's not the same as an elo playing rating. It mostly reflects your effort.
