I am using scid vs pc 4.16.while i was watching a game of a master, at certain point, i thought of a variation and i want to check it by moving the piece . then I want to get the advice from the engine as how  good was the move. I should get the annotation at this point on the move made by me. how can i accomplish that?

After you've made the new move and clicked on "Add variation", you'll need to start an analysis engine. So, either click on the little "train" icon, or in the menu system, click on "Tools --> Analysis Engines", then highlight your engine of choice and click the Start button. An engine analysis window should appear, the the engine should start analyzing the move of the variation.

If you only want to add the engine's next move to the variation, click on the red "plus" icon at the top of the engine analysis window. However, if you only want to add the engine's evaluation to your variation move, right-click on the red "plus" icon at the top of the engine analysis window.

After making a variation move, i want to see how the engine respond to it? is there an option engine play white/ engine play black in scid so that i can see what is the response for the move (altered) made by me.
