Emir hangs alot of pieces. Just take the free stuff, don't get too greedy with pawns before castling and follow standard chess principles.

I would have a very hard time to beat humans at 1000 but this computer guy Emir (1000) is quite easy for me. Winning over him at least 8 out of 10 times.

It’s easy, just play solidly and eventually you will beat him. Then focus on playing against people. That way you will improve

@frosty620 , nelson is Extremely hard but he only plays well in the first 20 moves, then he plays like a beginner.

AHAHAHAHAHA WHAT WAHT AWHT EMIR IS SO BAD.

Emir looks like a hard bot with his 1000 rating, but in all honesty, I beat him in a matter of minutes. Compared to a real person, this bot is very bad. It sometimes ignores the fact that it's going lose a lot of pieces. During one of my games with him, I made a mistake that put my queen in the path of his bishop, and Emir seemed completely oblivious to it.

Emir is an opening trainer. He teaches you various lines to some of the basic opens for both black and white. Don't just beat him. Play him over and over again to establish a fairly solid understanding of your early game repertoire. He gives multiple different responses to the London, caro-kann and king's Indian that I know of so far. He'll step all over you if you mess up a move early on, but if you respond to all of his opening moves with solid play, he rewards you by basically giving the rest of the match away. He's deeply sucks at the endgame too. It's almost embarrassing, but he will teach you the early game fairly thoroughly for a beginner, so use him for that, and come back to him any time you want to study a new open.

My Tip: Play offensively. He always forgets a lot of pieces he could beat
