How To Become A More Exciting Player?

My contemporaries have cunningly compared my style to a Boa Constrictor. I squeeze, I wear down my opponent, only playing a move when it's sound, waiting for a mistake. My superior positional understanding allows me to do this. Once my opponent makes an inaccuracy, I squeeze some more. And like this over and over, until the end game. This is where I thrive, and defeat opponents with my pass pawn.
However, this is not the reputation I want to have. Does my strategy win me games? Sure. But, this is not the Chess player I imagined I would be. I want to be compared to the likes of Tal, Morphy, and Karpov, not a boring positional player like Shirov.
So I have to ask the community. How do I change my style, and use my vast understanding of positional play to become a more exciting, tactical player?
Troll, or TROLL!!??

"Do something else for excitement" Ha! Yeah right! Like anything can give you the same adrenaline rush like winning an exchange? Good one!
Right? People who don't understand that Chess is life just don't get it.
If chess is your entire life though, I can't help but feel a little sorry for you, what about music, travel, art, sports, boating, etc....don't be so one dimensional or life will pass you bye bye.

Chess is more complex and beautiful than the ordinary life you describe could ever be.
Sacrifices, pins, forks, connecting rooks, positionally grinding down your opponent until he breaks, castling, etc. How could anything be more exciting and fulfilling? I am sorry but if you don't live your life through Chess, you're not actually living.
I can see that you're new to the game, but when you have played for as long as I have you'll understand what I'm talking about.

Yes! Chess is the meaning of life.
You talk about arts and sports? Chess is both! And it is also science!
Music? Hearing the noise that a piece makes when it captures another one, or the romantic sound that makes a clock when you punch him while playing bullet is all the music you will need in your life!
Travels? Ha! what a waste of money and time just to go and see some old ass buildings or a lot of water with animals that can easily kill you. With chess you travel to a magic world, it is free and without any risks!
Boating? Pfff that is for retired grandpas!
You are young! You have energy!! What best way of spending the best years of your life than playing chess day and night?

I supose that is a step in the direction to become a more exiting player. Perhaps a coke-fiend baboon is next? (or maybe that's skipping a few steps in the inebreated animal hierarchy?). I think it's pretty rock and roll either way, go for it!
Also; "be more exotic" is good solid advice, I feel. Perhaps some sort of national dress from a country not of your own origin? Lederhosen?

Most excellent suggestions Pawnstormftw the world needs more out of the box thinkers like you. Even if you are from Norway I think you are cool.

Chess pieces is all the family you need!
Chess should be your everything in life. You don't lie in your deathbed thinking "I wish I spent more time with my family" or "I wish I traveled more".
Steve Jobs in his farewell letter said "I accomplished everything but at the same time I accomplished nothing. What is the point of becoming a billionaire if you don't know the Catalan defense?"

Why? I completely agree with everything Vlad said!!
Only idiots think that there is life outside chess.

I'll side with the bad boy of chess every time on that one!

Hahahaha!

Actually, I appreciate chess and am higher rated than you. I thought you were just a kid, I've been here longer than you (had another account years ago) and likely have been playing chess longer and would wager I am a lot older than you. If you want complexity in life just study advanced chemistry, physics, crystallography, and differential equations...there are lots of things in things in life more complex than chess and just as worthwhile....and yes, boating is exciting and can be risky just like martial arts, if you lose a chess match what do you lose??? If you lose a martial arts fight you actually lose more, hence higher stakes equals more excitement....I never tried motorcycle jumping but it sounds like something I might have tried when I was younger, try it for excitement, guess you are the wrong type for that.....

Those of us with ratings in the 1300s need to get out of Homer Simpson territory before we can emulate particular grandmasters.
