How to counter Alapin sicilian with black

I am having fun ! And I don't consider myself a master level player either ! In fact I don't want to learn theory but just main development ideas because I could not find any during my games. If I wanted to learn all the sicilian lines, I could as well just check the analysis which blindly tells me be best moves father than posting here. The thing is that playing the sicilian makes me having fun and finding another variation only makes me want to learn it. And I want to add that I do not encounter the Alapin frequently in my games. Most of the time I play rather simple lines such as an open sicilian and I like it as well.
But thank you so much for answering I might change my vision of the sicilian which for me was a solid opening in the idea but if it's really difficult to handle all the lines I might play it less frequently
Little correction I just discovered on my previous message when I say Kf3 I'm talking about my knight of course I forgot that K was for the King so just make all the corrections by replacin Kf3 and Kc6 etc to Nf3, Nc6...
Btw pls answer me I played I think 4 Alapin Yesterday and I lost three of them so...
Oh thank you so much ! So I see; you need to try to rip open the center with d5 and get a more open position. The computer told me the best move was Nc6 Nf6 but it seemed to me very complicated to conserve pressure on the center. But after d5 what if he plays e5 ? I assume it is not a good move (the same for an East Indian for example) but I just can't see why could someone tell me please ?
Hi everyone,
I don't know if I should be posting this in here or in openings but anyway.
I almost always play a sicilian with c5 against e4. Even though my w/l rate is not that great with black, I really love this opening and want to keep using it. I know many all the lines but the ones I prefer are open and closed with either 2. Kf3 or 2. Kc3.
But recently I have been playing against a lot of people playing 2. c3. The first time I saw it I was litteraly shocked because I had never seen that and I thought I would lost a lot of presence in the center and have never been able to prevent 3. d4 every time I have played it. The analysis tool says it is the Alapin sicilian. I've tried to learn its line but I still struggle against it. One of the moves I tried was 2. Kc6 then 3. Kf6 but m'y opponent's has always be able to push to e5 and threat my knight so I had to remove it and lost control over d5. Does anyone have useful tips to help me out like move to keep a good center control or to prevent him to push his pawn ? Or also a game showcasing a typical line and how to defend please ? Anything would really help me ! πππ
