How to destroy FIDE masters easily
Excuse me, you need not project your jealousy onto others here.
As the #1 online chess.com daily 960 player, my opponent was indeed the online chess.com daily 960 world champion, and I won the game.
If you follow my tips, you might be able to emulate me.
1) Are you serious? He's not the "Online Chess World Champion" because he has the highest correspondence chess rating on chess.com LOL. You do realize there are other sites with better competition at the highest levels, don't you?
2) Daily Chess (aka, correspondence chess) doesn't count. At all. The game means absolutely, positively nothing. Chess is played with a clock. Until you can beat an FM in a 45/45 on here, nobody cares.
Dude, stop being so rude please, Cherub is just sharing his experiences, instead of attacking him why dont you take a lesson from his book?

I'd say self-absorbed is pretty accurate, although you can't say my threads recently were boring. Not the en passant one, at least.
After reading your multiple arguments, I've decided that you're right.
I've decided to quit chess, since an accomplished old man sitting at his computer bashing chess players for not having a life said some very profound things to me.
I will just ignore that chess has helped me get into a top college with scholarships, helped my academics immeasurably , and is so convenient that I can go from studying to playing in about 5 seconds and a few mouseclicks.
And of course, I think it's fun. Of course, after listening to you, I've decided that what you think matters more.
