skills + speed

i suck at bullet. usually lost on time or lost by resignation (blunder)

also you do not shrink the board size if you play on your smartphone

Just play faster than your opponent ! 🤷‍♂️

Yeah bullet requires no skill just move randomly

This becomes less and less true the stronger your opponents get.

At the higher bullet levels (2500+, for example), the moves are mostly accurate - they're just doing it at a high speed.

Still really doesn’t require that much skill

Ok I am still trash...

There is loads of skill involved in bullet chess. The best players play much better moves than the average player makes in classical games.

#10 moves in classical games are deeply analyzed unlike the moves in bullet. If you want to play bullet you need good instincts, speed and lots of experience. You don't think much and most moves are just guesses got right.

Honestly, I think playing good, fast moves helps. Not spending a lot of time on the opening should also help. I also always go by my rule - "Always have more time than your opponent."

I actually lost most of my games by checkmate because of moving randomly

Which means the moves played are time-efficient!

How small?

I personally deserve this trap in

Like as small as possible!

The real secret to dominating at bullet is to first get good at slow chess. This might sound counterintuitive, but it's actually true.

To get good at doing anything fast, you need to first excel at doing it slowly.

The proficiency comes first. The speed comes after.

That is very true.

How does this help? Doesn't it make it harder to tap on a piece and stuff?

Also, this might not work, but does using a touchscreen help? I find it much more proficient to play with a stylus or my fingers instead of a mouse.
