A year ago I wasn't particularly memorable on the forums, probably because I was so flaky and never stuck up for my opinions.

Why would anyone want to work on their bullet chess?

so that when i m playing rapid with my 2000 elo opponents i m quick when i have low time

This is a misconception imo, being really low on time in a longer game is not at all similar to playing a bullet game because the game momentum has been completely different.

True, but the mouse speed does help a bit lol

Play 2/1 bullet games, 1 second increment will be very useful, use bullet games to test your opening knowledge - exchange everything in the middle game and get to a quick endgame.

Yeah. True.

Mouse is not really that much of a factor - wired mouse usually have better response times. When I can use a mouse (my mac isn't compatible with any mouse) I only use the eleven year old wired mouse, and it works very good.

I would have to say I disagree with half of what has been said and agree with the other half of what is being said. Bullet can improve your chess, if your chess improves your bullet! I play antichess (so the narrative is a little different, but by playing bullet I have advanced my antichess game quite a bit). If you want to improve your bullet rating (not that I care about any rating setting myself), there are 3 major things that will help you improve.
1. Prepare. There are a lot of openings played in bullet and knowing which openings you should expect when you play will give you a big advantage, as you will already be in the mindset to counter, your opponents plans. Knowing ideas that bullet players are going to be instantiating will give you an ability to study those ideas, and openings leading to them, and have a counter solution ready to deploy.
2. Pace yourself. First start off slow maybe 2 seconds a move, trying to use as much time (up to 2 seconds) as you can, getting ideas. Then as you start to feel confident in moving faster slowly increase your pace. Pacing not only increases your thought processing time, it calms your brain, so you can think less about the clock and move quickly.
3. Practice. As the 2 suggestions above greatly rely on, Practice Practice, Practice. But only Great Practice will give great results. Don't skip games once you have played a practice game look back on it and prepare by looking at ideas your opponent had, how could you have countered them? Ideas like this will let you understand what your opponents are playing (keep in mind it is different at each level and you will grow into it each time).

I hope this helps (and if you are wondering why my ratings are so low..... simply I don't like regular chess, 4 player teams chess is much more tactical and has much more calculation).

That fails miserably, the opponent just takes over the board in most cases...

It's not a strategy that will work at all on the 2000+ level, so I'd assume that isn't the best idea for someone almost at 2000
