Take some lessons from the coaches on this site. Most have pretty reasonable rates and can improve your game quickly within just a couple lessons,

Do I need to pay the lessons?

How much did you improve by taking those lessons?  OP would like to get  1400+ , not 800+

You have an 1100 daily so don't talk smack to me. The only reason for my ratings in those being so low is because my wife logs in under my account and plays. I hardly ever play bullet and blitz games unless it's 2000+ rated players in the open challenges. I can't say that I win often but I make it interesting. My daily was around 1500 until I timed out on a bunch of tournaments games a couple weeks back which took 200+ points off my daily rating.

The only reason my blitz and bullet scores are so low is because my wife logs in and plays under my account. My daily was about 1500 until I timed out on a bunch of 24 hour move tournament games (12 to be exact) and dropped me 200+ points a couple weeks ago. The only time I play bullet games is against 2000+ rated players when I see them on the open games. Can't say that I win that often but I can hang and at least make  it interesting. I just started lessons last weekend but have already been able to use some of the things we talked about to help me tactically for sure.

Okay, I am also 3000+, I am not good at bullet and blitz. I have secret training to play in World Championship Match.  I am pretty sure that I am good against 2800+ players!!

You're rating is as high as it is because you bank on winning on time. That's why your daily is so low.

Plus, I don't care if you don't believe me, I have no reason to lie.

I'm sorry I did not clarify, but I'm talking about blitz

Take some lessons. Don't listen to the over inflated rating troll. It says he hasn't played a blitz game in two years?

Ah, I just played 1 daily games only, because my friend challenged me .

I am still here for forum and  social contacts with my friends.

Does playing in other site count?( 3 mins blitz)

That's great. You don't play on the site but just use the forums to try and make fun of people you know nothing about. It's called trolling and more so just being a douche. I see your comments all the time and there all the same arrogantly condescending remarks to people because you sit on an inflated rating for years so you think people won't say anything back. Grow up and get a life man.

I apologize for turning this thread into what it's become. If I was to give any advice, I'd say to try and play unrated games against high rated players and go back through and analyze what their doing as opposed to what you're not.

You played strong coffee house chess. If you want to advance to amateur tournament player strength, you need to read books. I don't want to burden you with books so I would recommend only one book. Simple Chess by Stean would improve you above 1400. Enjoy playing chess.

Some random tips

1) Even if it's a blitz game, compare the opening moves vs a database (or other reference material) to see who played the first non-standard move and to see what the normal options are.

2) Try to play a few long games per week. Blitz only gives you time to play the patterns and ideas that are in your long term memory. Long games (and studying) are when you can put new ideas and patterns in your memory. Getting better at long games will make you better at blitz.

3) Even if it's blitz, analyze all the games you play that day with an engine. By analyze I mean find your biggest mistake and / or explore options in positions that confused you. You don't have to learn something from every move... more like try to learn 1 thing from each game.

4) Play over 1 GM game a day (you can do more if you want). Just spend 5-10 minutes on the whole game. Ask which side of the board the players played on (kingside, center, or queenside) and generally how they did it (pawns or pieces). Over time you'll be exposed to many new patterns and ideas by looking at GM games.

5) Solve tactic puzzles (of course everyone says this because it's almost always useful). For every puzzle you fail, be sure to wait a few days and then try to solve it again. If you fail it again that's ok, wait a few days again and keep doing this until you can solve it correctly at least once. It sort of sounds obvious, but challenge yourself to find the best defense from your opponent. Sometimes we can guess a move is correct because we know it's a puzzle, but try to avoid that. Pretend it's a real game and calculate to find your opponent's best defense.

6) Consider getting a strategy or endgame book. For example Pachman's Modern Chess Strategy.
