how to improve

I’ve been playing chess for more than three years and peaked at 600. I’m absolutely horrible and blunder nearly every game. I’m starting to believe that the only way to make any progress is through cheating. Should I quit or is there a way to get better? Not interested in anyone telling me to spend tens of thousands of hours on chess or dedicate my life to it.

Please do not cheat! You can get better. Everybody will come in and tell you to “learn theory and study master games” but at any level I think the best option is to grind; vary your activities (aka play puzzle battle, do puzzles, play all different time controls) even play at different times in the day if possible, to determine what time you perform best at. Listen to music or something that makes you happy. Play after you excercise. It actually will help clear your mental fog. Additionally, learn opening traps or theoretical traps (traps that could happen in ___ sort of position) that will help at your level. Also, play by your gut. Often, your first thought is the right move.
