How to improve in lower time controls ?

Hello everyone, I am rated 1050 in rapid (I got to 1100 once, then tilted, trying to get back up there), but in lower time controls like blitz or bullet I am stuck at 700 - 800.

Any advice ?

By getting better at chess in general, which is best done by playing longer time controls : )

To enhance blitz and bullet chess performance: Prioritize tactical training, streamline openings, manage time effectively, maintain composure, analyze games, play frequently, study top players, and remain patient and optimistic throughout the learning process.

Just try to change your time settings every time to something slightly lower (but always at a comfortable amount) and prepare some openings and responses to your opponent, so you don't waste much time looking for a move. :) :tup

Skill descends from the slower to the faster time control.
Carlsen is that strong in blitz, because he has spent so much time playing and analysing classical time control games.

I play way too much blitz chess. It rots the brain just as surely as alcohol.

After each game, whether you win or lose, take some time to review your moves.

Couldn’t you warmup with bullet to help you think better in 3 min blitz?

I quit all time controls other than blitz for a few months and that worked for me
