Hello, I had a game recently where I did end of winning, but made a lot of blunders throughout and the only reason I won is because my opponent was just as bad.
I hope the game was inserted correctly below:
On move 31, I played king d8, which was a blunder, because it "leads to losing a knight" which is true, but i requires this complicated ass 7 move sequence to pull off. I keep thinking how would I even go about learning to identify something like that in a game.
Learning something simple like check, captures, attacks won't help there I feel.
I know in this game there is another blunder where I just hung a bishop for no reason which is totally my bad, and I know I just need to keep practicing to see stuff like that.
I was just wondering if I should ignore blunders like that overly complicated one on move 31 or if there would be some way for a beginner to even see that.
I am a beginner my self and have made sooooo many blunders. It has definitely been very hard trying to train my eyes to look for traps. In the whole process of that though I have made a few brilliant moves that would normally seem crazy to other people. So in my opinion there is an advantage to being a beginner. I know this isn’t really advice but I hope it helps!
