Chess history is studded with numerous masters whose lives ruined owing to poor returns from chess...many players had to do menial jobs for a livelyhood and many were devoid of life partners or offspring, because they were unable to maintain a family as they dont have money or time to support it..! many players got ill health -both physical and mental-due to constant stress from chess games in addition with bad habits like smoking, drinks and drugs...infact chess is notorious globally as a lifespoiler along with some art forms / gambling sports..!
