Strategy would be considered your overall plan, and tactics are the steps you would take to meet your goal. Regarding speed chess, the best way to get better is to simply play. You will get used to the pace and tempo over time, and although I know I'm not the best blitz player, you must above all enjoy the games and not rake any defeat to heart or get carried away with any victory.
How to play Speed Chess and ect.

After a move look at the new squares that are attacked and the squares that it left undefended. Is your opponent threatening to win something immediately? Did his move allow you to win something immediately?
If not, then look for simple tactics being sure to pay attention to loose pieces and an exposed king (if any). A rook or bishop on the same file or diagonal as the opponent's king or queen can also mean tactics are available even if they're currently blocked by pieces.
The first step to getting better at speed chess, IMO anyway, is being able to quickly go through this process. To practice it you'll need to play a lot of games... probably with a longer time control so you can practice it properly. The person who is more observant, and who can go through this process more quickly and consistently will usually be the winner of the game.
After you're good at it then later comes strategy and all that stuff. Although a good tip to remember is to prioritize development and castling in the beginning. Minimize pawn moves, minimize moving the same piece twice, and don't attack with just a few pieces developed.

-----------
Tactics are a forcing sequence of moves that usually win a pawn or piece or give mate. They take advantage of a short term flaw or weakness such as undefended pieces or an exposed king. A "fork" or "removing the defender" are examples of basic tactics.
Strategy is a long term plan. It's something you work for over time, usually over the course of many moves, and without each move necessarily contributing to the strategy. It takes advantage of flaws or weaknesses that are long term features of the position like pawn structure. The "minority attack" is an example of a basic strategy.
Hello, today in school I played against a classmate who was pretty good, better than me in a way. I played speed chess against him, but with the little exp I have with that style of chess I lost that game. I wonder to those that played it before, How do you play it and how do you try to win. In my way, I usually take a few minutes to think up a move that could be good.. But with the pace of speed chess... its difficult on my part. Plus i wanted to ask one question: What is the simplest way to know the diffrenece between Tactics and Stategy? I appreciate if someone could respond, Thank you for reading I not the greatest.. but Im not all the way terrible... i just want to find a way to get better. :)
