I am 2100 right now and I want some recommendations on how to achieve it. Any chess books that any gms or fms would recommend?

I'm tryna do the same thing(also 2100) the only advice I got lol was "stop hanging pieces"

Yeah, maybe ask a titled player friend or something. Have you got any 2200+ rated friends?

No friends who are titled. I'm mostly self taught to be honest.

I think the most important thing is understanding your playing style and improving on your weakness ex I tend to hang pieces too much(like a 1200) but when I don't I play like a 2500 if there is any opening you absolutely hate you should try to learn it yourself so instead of you hating it is the other person

It seems like you haven’t played in a few months so that’s the first thing

But seriously? What is OP hoping for? That some 2500+ blitzer shows up and post "Here the big secret: light a candle at full Moon, and sacrifice a goat. Then pray a lot. A whole lot..." evil

I was the same like you, but I realised it's better to take it one step at a time. You have to study a lot, learn new higher level concepts and continue playing without losing hope. It will be a very tough journey, so good luck.

Play a medium to hard CPU with takebacks. 🙂♟️

1) Play a lot - obsessively, even.

2) Analyze every game you play.

Step #2 is where the real magic happens. The majority of players only superficially glance at their blunders when analyzing, then they nod and move onto the next game.

But the serious players go much deeper than that - they linger in the analysis board for a long time, exploring different lines and ideas that didn't materialize during the game, but could have ...

This "going the extra mile" is where you'll discover new concepts and ideas that will help you level up. It's where you'll gain knowledge that other players won't have, which will eventually translate into you climbing to higher rating brackets ...

Play a lot of blitz games, do puzzles, a lot of them. It is also crucial to analyse your games after to see where you played well, and where you didn't play that well. In chess, especially in faster time controls such as blitz, intuition is a very important tool, trust your instincts, believe you can win, and do not let losses sway your mindset away from your intended goal. Intuition is built through playing games, and doing puzzles, that's the fastest way you will reach 2500.
