How to review your games?

I find it impossible to review my own games. Even though stronger players strongly suggest to do this. If I review a game, I would play the same move again, even if it was a losing move. How do I do this?

I just dont use the engine first and go through it and put down my thinking process, what I could do better and the key narratives for the game and then afterwards use the engine

When I'm using the ranking thing, it is absoulutly HORRIBLE. I hate it so much and it frustrates me so much. It always removes, and it says "X" every time I put it in a spot. Also when I use hints, it removes it too. This is stupid, and the people who own this need to make it better because it is really trash at the moment. Make it better and less hecking stupid.
