It's strategy and tactics alright. There are various books titled "the middle game" or similar (a famous one is by Euwe), but if you have books about tactics and strategy/positional play, you should be fine already.
How to study Middlegame?

There are all sorts of way for one to study the endgame or opening. I use my resources in order to progress each day. However, I find it difficult to "study" the middlegame. Is the middlegame just following the strategies set by the opening, or is it creating weaknesses? Are there any books that teach the middlegame?
