Higher rated players can help each other on their weaknesses I suppose as well. I'm reading pawn structure chess and tactics get better that way.

This world is not perfect and so we have to learn to deal with the imperfect. If that is the case then helping the higher players why they are good can be of help to them.. And yes I know there are people who know things, but cannot teach them.

@DeirdreSkye, the higher rated player, whether he/she has greater understanding or not, is obviously doing something to maintain a higher rating than a lower rated player, and in general, if there is a 200+ rating gap, the higher rated player should have a better grasp of the game, and anyway if there is a large amount of players in this club, there will be multiple players with greater understanding who should be able to help those with less understanding improve, it might not be perfect but it cetainoy seems like a good system.
I am thinking that 1800 players and above could help mentor players under 1700 and if there are higher rated players higher than 1800 they could mentor players below them. We could take on other clubs and help use the knowledge we spread to challenge other clubs.
