Yeah Danke schon would mean something like thanks already. (Un)luckily as a guy from Finland I had to study many different languages at school

I solve tactical problems, use chess mentor, read articals, study openings, play against computer & apply things I learnt during games. I only play turn-based games & 30 minutes games in live chess.

1.) Read this review by Jeremy Silman - https://www.uschess.org/content/view/12389/729

2.) Then read - How Magnus Carlsen Became The Youngest Chess Grandmaster In The World by Simen Agdestein

3.) Then follow the training regimen recommended by Silman in his review and the one followed by Magnus Carlsen.

See it's easy, and all laid out for you!

If you want to use one, you have to open a word document and go to 'symbols'. It's a 'symbol' apparently.

Actually you can get ä and ö in almost every computer just by clicking 2 buttons - believe me, I have lived in USA and UK

I know how to get an é, á, ó, ú and í, but nothing else.

Pc computers
The Macintosh

1. Make sure the NUM LOCK is on.

2. Hold down the ALT-key, and then, by using the numeric keypad (on the right), type the character code. Then, release the ALT-key.

Alt Key codes:

ä, ö

1. Hold down the Option key, and type a u (the letter u).
2. Let go of the keys (don't hold them down for step 3).
3. Type the vowel over which you want the umlaut to appear.

Ä, Ö

Hold the Shift key down in step 3 Above.

ALT+0229 = å
ALT+0197 = Å

ALT+0228 = ä
ALT+0196 = Ä

ALT+0246 = ö
ALT+0214 = Ö

ALT+0156 = œ
ALT+0140 Œ

ALT+0230 = æ
ALT+0198 Æ

ALT+0248 ø
ALT+0216 = Ø

Option+A                       = å
Shift+Option+A               = Å

Option + u, then a           = ä
Option + u, then shift + A = Ä

Option + u, then o           = ö
Option + u, then shift + O = Ö

Thanks, Archimedes. Always wanted to know how to do it!

No problem :). Please note that this system is made for USA/English keyboards and may not work with others...
