My question is, what is "Hurt/Heal"? Is it something unique to this site? What are its origins?

While im not against the Hurt Heal forum game's, it is frustrating that nearly every 3rd or 4th message thread is about this voting game. Im tired of sorting through these topics to get to other topics that interest me.
