Heal Dvoretsky
Hurt Ultimate Guide to Chess
Note to all: Why are you murdering Think Like a Grandmaster? It's one of the top 5 chess books I've ever read and improved my USCF rating by approx. 100 points. Why then do you hurt it so?

Here's the deal with Dvoretsky. Before reading it, I was rated 1600. Afterwards, I reached 1800. Many of my games are decided in the endgame, so I feel I owe him credit.
Lots of truth. It is very hard, but worth every page.
@chessisgood: I haven't read most of the books here, and of the ones I've read I really didn't dislike any, although I've subsequently read Soltis' book Pawn Structure Chess is a big improvement over Kmoch's Pawn Power In Chess, which uses a lot of "proprietary" (ie confusing) chess terms never ever adopted by anyone else. Oh well, with all due (dis?)respect to the dead
HURT Pawn Power In Chess
HEAL MCO-15 (de Firmian)
Pandolfini's Ultimate Guide to Chess was removed and placed 15th
Think Like a Grandmaster [Kotov] was removed and placed 14th
Please note--you cannot hurt/heal removed books!
P.S. I will be out of town for a week. When I get back, I'll tally up the results. Until then, figure it out yourself and don't troll the comments.
P.S.S. Nice try jetfighter13, but no Bongcloud
@NimzoRoy
I see your point. I will no longer hurt book on the top, unless I really hate them :)
Also, hurting is not required but strongly encouraged. If people only heal books, this competition will never end. But if every book reaches a certain point, I might take off an equivalent number from them all.
