Where to get a pipe is my question

This is what we get when “everybody gets a trophy.” Something I penned a few years ago:
“Fighting for Life
You do not need to always be comfortable.
Life is not always easy.
Pain is there for a reason.
People need to be able to fight.
Pecking orders work.
Life Isn't Fair.
If you never learn how to fight, you will never have the tools to make it through the hard times that life will bring.
Fighting for life, is life.”
I don't see how that implies you shouldn't resign...
That would make me inspired
except it just made me depressed
Interesting that both of your responses are emotional.
it affects my quality of chess play
But my dad is not allowing me to resign at all. At least I should be able to ask to resign where m6 dad doesn’t unconditionally say no
he is trying to help you and the opponent might blunder
That would make me inspired

Yet you were the one who said you would beat your kid with a belt if you saw his post.

It implies that there is nothing inherently wrong with fighting a battle, and on the contrary, fighting is a necessary skill set for life. When quitting (resigning) becomes the norm instead of the exception, does the game teach us to fight or quit? Sure, retreating to fight another battle another day is a great tactic, so learning when to retreat (resign) is a necessary skill set ... just like learning when to fight.
Anybody and everybody can quit. Not everyone learns the skills necessary to fight.
Everyone can learn both skill sets.
Knowing when to bail out of a fight (literally or metaphorically speaking) is also important in RL. Being brave is good, being TOO brave is being dumb.
Try hitting your Dad's kneecaps with a metal pipe.
You are insane
Just old school.
My coach says to never resign and I'm only 7 years old. If you resign, you won't win for sure. But even if you are down a queen, you might still have a chance to make it a draw.
Actually I view it differently: If I don't resign and take many more minutes or even hours to play on, then I would have missed quite a number of potential games which I could have won, all because of the extra time I took to prolong a misery.
