If you can lose it, then it was never real passion.
I am losing my passion for chess.
I lost again. This is the third time.
I don't even bother to analyze this ridiculous game.
I never knew I was so bad at chess.
My ELO will continue to decline steadily, and it is highly likely that it will eventually become negative.
Should I quit permanently?
I have best advice for you if you want to listen me
thank you. But I do watch anime.
Well , if your passion for Chess is declining because you couldn't reach 1000 rating points, it might be time to go back to the drawing board, and examine what errors have brought you down.
Working on sequences and forks and skewers are some of the things I could mention, but how do I explain to get good at them.
I mean a piece like the Knight is unique because , you can try something like:how does my Knight reach a certain Square, what number of jumps to get from a to b.
If you can visualise such things, your going to find chess more interesting I think.....

Take vacations. Come back in one or two weeks. Do something else, live, laugh, love.
Progression works as such that you learn, you peak, you go down, you're on a plateau and feel you're getting worse but then you go up and peak higher, then come back to a plateau that's higher than the previous one, etc. If you're here it means you like the game, so once you peaked you should take a break so you can start the next step with a fresh head. If you don't take a break you'll get frustrated, tired, sick of the game. All this is perfectly normal, don't worry.

After reaching 1000 ELO once, I dropped to 998 after losing twice in a row.
Well, my goal was 1000 ELO, so maybe I'm happy now.
Lost in an incredible blunder and completely demotivated.
How can I have more fun?
Whenever I get bored, I do one of those 'chess personality' quizzes, enter random results, and study the starting moves they recommend. Thats how I learned to play Modern Scandinavian.
Get a book on tactical problems, just keep solving them in your Mind as you look at the Diagrams, or set up the board and solve them,, Without moving the pieces,,, and you will find that What you have been doing with the Diagrams,,,, is coming out in your play

Based on research, busy people that have time to relax are the happiest person in the world. If you are losing interest in chess, then the reason might be that you are losing purpose in life. Try doing something that will make your time productive like reading a book, exercise, cooking meals, doing laundry, cleaning the house and the like.
