Wow! I finally found a way to get back here . . .

If I get a respond please give me a link . . .

I just made a blunder in a game cause my chess board is so tiny . . .

Analysis: Click the board with the magnifying glass in the row of buttons

Vacation: Just make a move, that will take you out. Or, Settings > Daily Chess > PAUSE MY GAMES! I need to go on vacation and toggle to off

Resign: The Flag (2nd icon) resign.png

Draw: The 1/2

Submit: If you have that turned on a Cancel (X) and Submit (Checkmark) will come up.

Go to Geezer forums. Then go to forum headed" All about v3" Scroll down until you find Susie's link to switch back to v2.

I get switched to v3 each time I log in on a different machine, but I'm still clinging to v2.

Please notice that:

The https://www.chess.com/switch link still works for now, but I have to do it TWICE. It always says "Oops, access violation, you don't have authorization for this action" or something similarly worded, but then it does work the second time....

Yep, I had to log in twice . . .

But if you click on Google twice then put the link I go to it without having to log in . . .

It must be terribly embarrassing for the people involved in the development of  the new v3 to see all the negative comments from people that are sticking with v2.

I'm betting the v2 crowd are in the extreme minority, both in number and in their opinion of v3, vocal as they may be.

We don't hear much from the much larger v3 crowd because everything is working great for them and they have no complaints about it.

It'd be interesting to know the number of users still using v2 -- any idea, Martin_Stahl?

I'm using v3 for live chess and chessTV and v2 for everything else. Still can't get over the forum emptiness in v3. Really a lot of space wasted. In v2 it's much more "compact".

I don't know.  Last time I corresponded with erik, the majority of members were using v3. I would guess that is still the case but I could be wrong.

I'm actually surprised that v2 is still around, though, I still need it for one thing that is supposed to be available in v3 at some point.

Which one? Photos?

Avatar of Martin_Stahl

No, it is for a group I admin and a feature needed hasn't been ported to v3 yet, though it is being worked on. I'm pretty sure that only that group is impacted.

Avatar of RichColorado

Yep! I'm living without the photos . . . . Too bad . . .

Way back when David Letterman was on NBC he had a recurring segment called: 'May we see your photos, please?'  grin.png

I actually have the photos in my computer hard drive . . .
