thats a little of topic
I do not think this is fair

chess.com is for people to play chess at the very basic level. There is no obligation to help people get better at chess, because that's on you to learn chess.
Example: It's not in ACT, Inc's best interests to make everyone do good on the ACT.
Before the internet, people were able to learn chess without free video lessons. Why do you think so many people are thankful of youtube tutorials? It's because they don't have to wait several days for a guidebook.
Let's take music for example. In 1900s, nobody could carry music. In the late 1900s, you could bring music with you, but it was very unwieldly, and cost lots of money. Just for some music! Now, people complain about ads in their music.

This is for chess.com to gain money.
They have other ways to get money
like what? ads?
Assuming 10 million people click ads each day, then it would make $150,000 a day, but don't forget, chess.com has to keep servers up all the time, 24/7, has to pay the people that work on the code, has to pay the staff, has to pay for pogchamps...

chess.com is just trying to make money tbh
and that's a bad thing?
if chess.com doesnt have money, than they cant provide anything new for us

Yes, it is very annoying to watch only 30 seconds of a video and be stopped because you aren't a paying member. But there's always youtube
just kidding
