Maybe take a slightly different approach and work on whatever tactical motifs that you're weakest at. There is an unrated learning mode where you can choose what to work on and even set the difficulty range. You know the advice about improving your worst piece when you can't figure out what to do? Maybe improving your worst category of tactics is similar. Good luck!
I don't see any improvment after training 3'000 problems, are there somerules I should know ???

ohhhhh, thanks
I see now I can do only the problems i missed in a training mode.... maybe doing that will help

I’ve noticed that some puzzles are just stupid, meaning the “solution” relies on them making a stupid trade like a queen for a rook so are unsolvable by a better player so it sucks when those count against you.

indeed, some seems really stupid, or maybe I am not genius enough to see what was better in their solution....lol
i have been going down around 600 when I begun, then I thought I must really think a bit longer before moving the piece. but even then i made that I reach once 1254, and then climbed down and up, impossible to get higher always staying in between these 1100 - 1200. i see absolutely not how to get better.
and i think that if i stay a bit higher than you , it is just that to avoid loosing points, if I have absolutely no idea what to do, i dont try an go out so i dont loose the points.

I think that usually the move expected is still the best, the opponent just doesn't always play the best response. Although there are some that are incorrect. One the other day appeared to have more than one "correct" answer. Also I think it was losing for the moving player anyway. Generally the correct answer should be winning or at least saving a lost game. I am not 100% certain but I think that the puzzle was easily winning for the computer. I reported it! Assuming it has not been removed (if I was correct), I will have another look as I am interested to confirm my suspicions.

how do u make to know which puzzle was just proposed, are there somewhere a history list with the number of the puzzle that was just tried?

That's all listed in your Stats (even your unrated puzzles). Of course chess.com has some crappy little icon instead of saying Stats although Stats pops up when you run your cursor over it. Bottom right of the first screen. It's the middle icon; what looks like 3 little different height blocks. Have fun!

I've been stuck or even gone down for a few thousand problems before. My tip is to absolutely not move until you feel sure you have seen the line to some kind of conclusion. Don't be tempted to move because something looks promising but murky, try to be slow and thorough! :)

Nooooo, there must be a reason, maybe that trade leads to mate or winning the material back with some other advantage

Why is my rate in problems staying so low after having trained 18 month and 3'000 problems, I staying between 1100 and 1200. It's desesperating seing that i don't get better, are there some rules or tricks I should know to solve these problems ???
I would suggest trying slowing down so that you are sure about everything that may happen and thus increasing your percentage success. Learning to get them right is a higher priority than playing moves fast and will increase your rating, IMHO.

I wouldn't obsess with puzzles and tactics too much. There is something like theory overload where it can actually hurt your play sometimes. Like if you only read about driving, but never really sit behind the wheel. Nobody could become a better driver that way.

Usually yes, but occasionally that's the move. Forfeit a rook in hopes they stupidly kill it with their queen & lose it, end of puzzle, no advantage if they don't and I don't see a force. A move I rejected, seeing they wouldn't fall for it.
In reality, sometimes chess (at my low level) is about setting blunder traps so I guess those are valid in a sense.
Sometimes the puzzle ends before their next move evens the score, but yes, the pieces they lost were far more "active" than mine so it got me out of a jam with no net loss.
Personally; I don't care about my puzzle rating. I play them as a father-daughter activity; our 18 year old loves the instant feedback so will sit & play them with me for hours. Esp during COVID, it's nice to have an activity we can share without forcing it.

I am amused by the idea that sacrifices are "just stupid"! Sacrificial tactics are often brilliancies in games by world class players.

Yes, I do appreciate the value of sacrifices that win an advantage. But on some puzzles, I "puzzle" of what advantage it gave me. It's not often and when I look at the puzzle comments everyone else is baffled too.
In general; most are accurate solutions. These are outliers.

Who said that they were stupid?
Edit: Hehe, you won't find that out in a puzzle, you have to play to see that's wrong

Absolutely, having fun with it is the main thing! I will say though that there should be something in those puzzles that is good for you even if your opponent plays best (ie without blundering into the trap). Sometimes they don't make sense immediately - and I still get the occasional one I don't understand even with analysis. But I'm sure a stronger player would be able to! Hope you keep enjoying doing them!

is because you are doing it wrong, I am a chess coach, message me if you want and check this blog !! https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-lessons/free-chess-lessons
