easy don't play ruy lopez and you're good
Well, unless you're stacked on theory, and ur a very rare kind of player, (the one who attacks slowly, feeding off of ur opponents mistakes without sacking or flat out storms), the Spanish is not meant for you
Smith Morra be sh,t. GM don't touch.
Its not $h!t as far as I can tell. I actually lost to it in a tournament game, but that was U1200, so in real chess, I can't speak about it. What I can confidently say is that it is definitely unsound, and immediately gives Black a minor advantage. The reason people play it is bcuz its a surprise weapon in lower-tier chess, aka blunderland.
If GM don't touch opening... Club player should not choose opening.
Usually yes, but not always

actually I believe if GMs don't play it then U2000s have the best chance using those openings.
I'm sick of all these 'how to crush lower rated players with XXX gambit' type videos. Is this all people care about, getting a quick win by reciting a few moves by rote? At best, you'll improve your rating for a short while but then get kicked back down when you have to actually play real chess. I don't think we should be encouraging this sort of thing. I really want to yell at my screen when opponents play some stupid gambit that they've been told will let them 'win easy'.
you are right! chess people are supposed to have breeding, not look like a bunch of dweebs. well said, sir!!

Gambits are fine for me, but learning openings at the expense of other aspects lead to this: Hilarious incidents!
