I Forgot How Fun Chess Is

Hello all!  I haven't played a real game of chess in 25 years.  Played a lot throughout school, but never could find anyone worth playing after that.  A few times over the years I've caught the bug and bought whatever the current Chessmaster version was, unpacked my chess library and played a few games, but it's just not the same and I never got a lot out of it. 

I don't know why, but tonight I just decided to try an online game and I'm hooked!!  Played against a 1050 and won because he quit with a sure draw in hand.  Man was I bad!  Error after error.  But who cares, it was awesome to play a real person again.  This time, I think it's going to stick and I'll have rediscovered my childhood obsession.  Better dig out the books (and start with the beginner editions).

Any guidance on where to start on this site?  Seems like a lot of useful stuff, but there's so much it's hard to know where to begin.

You should consider getting a full membership! The extra toys and tools are amazing.
