Just keep playing, they will go away in time. :)
I get too nervous in live chess!

The more you care the more nervouse you get. I have the same problem. I play better on L*chess cause i dont care about my rating there

You might try unrated games to get used to playing a person without worrying about how the games go (from a ratings perspective). Or log out and play as a guest.

Thank you, I tried your idea of playing live games on L-chess and I didn't get nervous like before. Ajaxoid its funny but I didn't get nervous when I played you or other people I know. Maybe because I was expecting to lose? I must have some kind of sub conscious insecurity about being rated? The other funny thing I notice is that I feel more relaxed when I'm losing than when I'm winning. I tried some breathing exercises but it didn't seem to help. One thing that seemed to help was trying to pay one pointed attention to each move, basically trying to stay very focused.

it's hard to understand if it is your personality or you have some fear or anything else..
based on limited information.
therefore it's hard to suggest anything right.

Maybe you just feel nervous when play humans. I guess you should just play more often in live chess and the fear should go away.
For me when I started playing chess on this site, I never felt nervous or anything like that. Guess it's just for some people.
This is a very normal feeling to get while playing any form of ranked matches in any game/sport. No one wants to be proven better by someone with seemingly equal skill, and no one wants to spend a lot of time and maneuvering just to lose. Its normal. Just jump into a lot of games and dont care much about your rating. Your skill will improve naturally and your fear of playing will disappear.

Just play more ranked, play, play and play and it will go away completely. In chess I am way past feeling nervous in ranked but in other games where I am still learning the game I get nervous in ranked games. So I will take my own advice and play more age of empires 2 ranked games xD

Thanks guys I did try playing on L*chess and that did seem to help calm me down. Funny things that after 100 games (winning the majority) on chess.com my rating is barely 600. After 45 games (losing the majority) on L*chess, my rating is over 1300. Do people play differently on each site? I feel like the chess.com players are more aggressive and play more quick win tricks which sometimes confuse me.

l*chess ratings are inflated
I've only been playing chess a couple months. When I do puzzles or play the bots I'm fine but when I try live chess I seem to have a subconscious reaction that causes my heart to beat faster and I feel shaky? Normally I'm a pretty calm person so I'm a bit confused. How to work on this problem I wonder?
