On d2, I had captured White's Bishop and the move was brilliant. I had explained how this move was brilliant to my friends and want you all tell me about your thoughts on it.

My bishop on b3 was hanging, and it was a strong one. My rook on the other hand, was kinda bad and I felt like disposing it, because the rook was not going to be of much use. So I sacrificed my rook for a bishop and a pawn. His bishop was a bit strong too.
Why wasn't the rook going to be of much use, because the file was too passive and my bishop could not be given up. Why not Bishop to c4? because it would have been a lot more passive. Opponent is down a rook and that bishop, if it is gone, would have been disastrous for White. White has little to no defense on the queen side and I have a lot of pieces on the queenside. White's rook alone could not defeat my army of minor pieces and pawns. And the knight is also badly placed, so when it arrives at the queenside, nearly all of the queenside pawns would have been gone by then.

Conclusion - The Bishop had to be gone. It would have been difficult for me simplify if the Bishop was there. My opponent's Rook and Knight were on the Queenside. Did you all notice that White's pawn structure on the Queenside was horrible. And I would have easily created passed pawns by bringing my minor pieces and the Rook to the Queenside.

Hope you liked this.
