Almost everybody starts with 1.e4 and 2.Nf4. Well, i dont like playing against these players. I know only 1... c5 and 1...e5 and i like neither of them, maybe a little bit more the c5 option... any opening you would reccomend me?

Might want to rethink that thread title. How about "I hate playing black" instead of "I hate being black"? )

I predict... vulgarity. You really can't blame people if things get out of hand.

/  It is impossible to play 2. Nf4.

I read your posts a lot, my question is: are you this anal in real life or is just an internet persona?

Play gambit chess as black, it attempts to take the initiative from white from the get go.

Against 1 d4 you could play the Benko gambit, and if white avoids the Benko by playing 2 Nf3 (instead of 2 c4) then you can head towards the Blumenfeld gambit. If white avoids the Benko by playing 1 d4 2 c4 3 Nf3 (instead of 3 d5) then you can head for the Vaganian gambit. Two books come to mind - Play the Benko Gambit, and Attack with Black. Both books cover those defenses by black. The Play the Benko Gambit book uses the Topolov Variation instead of the Blumenfeld. Take your pick as to which book you prefer. The Play the Benko book is not as detailed in variations as Attack With Black but contains more explanations than Attack with Black does.

Against 1 e4 you could play the 2...Nf6 Scandinavian. A big book came out on it recently titled Smerdon's Scandinavian.

I think all of the books I've mentioned are available on Amazon.

That board is set up wrong

Your lacking confidence and possibly mentaly beaten in a lot of your games before a move is played. Probably not what you'd want to hear, but I'd say forget about white and just focus on playing black as much as you can. It's  not that bad!

If your really struggling try mirroring moves if you can in openings until you reach a comfortable stage. Also try being active, and pro active, try and get a share of the centre of the board perhaps as a general rule. It is easy to end up a tempo or 2 tempos down early doors with black.

Good luck, you will figure it out and get your mojo with black :)

Players who like playing 1.e4 (such as myself) are probably most used to seeing 1. ... e5/1. ... c5 and 1. ... e6 in response. You could (possibly) take them a little out of their comfort zone with 1. ... d5/1. ... g6 or 1. ... Nf6.

If they've played a lot they'll probably have seen them before... but you can specialise in one.

That won't necessarily help you in the opening, your opponent can just follow database moves, but you will become more familiar (and comfortable) with the middle games you get. :)

The only other solution is to play thematic tournaments, or seek out 1.d4 players.

Try the Sicilian Defence. I find it is more fun to play as black than most of black's options.

I like the french defense,....1...e6. If i couldnt play that, id hate e4 games as black too. Whenever i tried anything else i did poorly, so now i never deviate. My worst problems as black is against d4. I have mixed results, but feel its difficult to keep a stake in the center in QGD type positions. But anything other then QGD is much worse. I reccomend you learn one opening well against e4, preferably something suited to your type of style.
