Awww, do you need a tissue to wipe those tears being black?
I hate playing as black, any solution?
Actually, the 2...Nf6 Scandinavian is not moving the queen twice (1 e4 d5 2 exd5 Nf6), but the Caro Kann does have the better reputation (though absolutely loaded in theory these days).
Recent results in high level tournaments have shown good results for black. A higher percentage of wins as compared to years past. Heard the saying?... after 1.e4 White is in throws of defeat. Counter attack often proves superior.
PINK IS THE NEW BLACK
Absolutely amazing,mind-blowing chess set from the future!
Everyone prefers white. But winning as black is extra satisfying.
I don't always prefer white. It depends on the opponent and the time control/situation.
A lot of amateurs have absolutely no idea how to play white and it's really easy to develop quickly and launch an attack against their overextended pawn structure.
@RadioBorshi
Players who like playing 1.e4 (such as myself) are probably most used to seeing 1. ... e5/1. ... c5 and 1. ... e6 in response. You could (possibly) take them a little out of their comfort zone with 1. ... d5/1. ... g6 or 1. ... Nf6.
If they've played a lot they'll probably have seen them before... but you can specialise in one.
That won't necessarily help you in the opening, your opponent can just follow database moves, but you will become more familiar (and comfortable) with the middle games you get. :)
WHAT?????
NO LOVE FOR THE CARO-KANN?????
1...c6!!
With this little pawn I shall own your e4 soul!
I will attack your e4 pawn in a savage manner.
Than after I have done so successfully.
I shall run away and proceed to set up an impenetrable fortress.
You shall gaze at my magnificents!
1. d4 and Black plays the Vulture! Always good for 1/2 result. Radio.... I suggest editing the original post to 1. e4 and 2. Nf3 (not Nf4)

But I open 1. d4. Now what?
I would just play White only. You have the option to seek games where you are White.
2.Nf4 is pretty good, as you stated.
Almost everybody starts with 1.e4 and 2.Nf4. Well, i dont like playing against these players. I know only 1... c5 and 1...e5 and i like neither of them, maybe a little bit more the c5 option... any opening you would reccomend me?
Might want to rethink that thread title. How about "I hate playing black" instead of "I hate being black"? )
I predict... vulgarity. You really can't blame people if things get out of hand.
/ It is impossible to play 2. Nf4.
I read your posts a lot, my question is: are you this anal in real life or is just an internet persona?
You are obviously new here if you don't agree that the original thread title could have caused a problem. It's not that most people couldn't figure out the intent. It's just that some would have jumped all over the opportunity.
Black is more fun to play tbh...
As white, you have e4, d4, c4, Nf3 and sometimes b3 as good moves.
As black, you have the choice between many different ways to respond.
When I used Chessmaster Grandmaster I only played as white, but now that I joined chess.com I enjoy black as well, it's a different challenge.
Thank you for the help guys, i decided that CaroKann looks pretty good as i attack that e4 pawn. I'm watching a youtube video about it now.
I don't like 1...d5 because the queen will move twice in a row.
When i'm white, i loooove QGD.
It all started when i was playing with my cousin (both bad players) and he was opening always with 1. d4. So, when i was white i was playing first c4 to prevent him. since i came in chess.com i played only 1.c4 and 3 days ago i realized that QGD was my game, because previously i was hating when somebdy would respond with 1. c4 e5 and not letting me do that. When i learned the name of it, i saw that usual opening starts with 1. d4 and three days now i play only that.
Now, I'll try that CaroKann in some 2|1 games and see what happens. Thank you :)
