Why do you not like playing as black? :) playing as black is a very good practice :)
I hate playing as black, any solution?
One solution is: when you in "start a new game", then select "I play as white" and your problem is over (except if more than 50% of the available users do the same but I think it does not happen) !!
I've always prefered black, White Plays e4 or d4 or ... but your reply has a huge impact on the feel of the Game, Caro-Kann or Sicilian or Ruy. QGD or Kings Indian.
Instead of viewing black as a burden, embrace it as an oppertunity to mold the psychological fabric of the game; and learn to use that as a weapon.
had to prepare againts white piece idea and come on top with positional and know the secret as black piece......its not easy.....exp....after severral move.....if u move c6.......pawn.....it caro kan line.......move c5 its queen gambit declined system.......one move million posibilities......
But I open 1. d4. Now what?
I can still play 1...c6 against 1.d4
If you play 2.e4
Than I can follow up with 2...d5 the position tranposes into a Caro-Kann.
If you play 2.c4
Than I can follow up with 2...d5 the position tranposes into a Slav.
I like to play 1.d4 a lot, but I find Black has a powerful response in 1...Nf6, controlling two important central squares without occupying the centre with pawns immediately. If White goes 2.c4, Black has many responses like 2... e6 to challenge the centre or 2... g6 to go into the king's Indian defence.
What you'll find about most players who don't like playing as black is that they don't know how to defend or maneuver in awkward positions (since white determines how you respond in part).
They're generally too used to attacking as white and now it's catching up with them.
I played a lot on my electronic chess set and computer, and although I could select black or white I never bothered.
Playing these things actually made my game worse, since I could take back moves I did not learn to avoid blunders. I lost my first several games here, and found playing as black impossible.
I got a few books and kept at it, I've improved a little. I'm kind of old so I realize I will never be a grandmaster, I just play for fun. I still would like to be competative so I have accumulated quite a few books in the past couple months, which I enjoy reading and studying.
I would suggest some books on openings, openings for black, and playing as black. Also play some longer games. I like one day games, I don't have time to play timed games yet.
Almost everybody starts with 1.e4 and 2.Nf4. Well, i dont like playing against these players. I know only 1... c5 and 1...e5 and i like neither of them, maybe a little bit more the c5 option... any opening you would reccomend me?
