Why do you get so many ELO points when you play your first few games?

ELO? Are you asking about playing in OTB tournaments or this site? This site uses Glicko, not ELO.

Answer the question #2. Ok here’s the answer. It is because if you are actually better than you clicked then you can get up fast. If you didn’t misclick then I am not sure for when you click beginner, intermediate and the others, but if you click the top one which is master then you might need to go up fast

It is due to the part of the formula called the RD (rating deviation factor). It's purpose is to get a person to their true rating quickly which may be over a thousand points.
