and now I just lost to martin (250)
I just lost in 20 seconds
May I suggest you review some youtube videos of a Chess master or two.
General principles, fastest checkmates(Fool's mate is #1). After that, watch some speedruns of a good Chess master that plays from a low level all the way to a high level while explaining WHY he is doing what he's doing. Daniel Naroditsky has some good ones and explains what he's doing very well. Eric Rosen has a good one too.
Why would you play fool's mate?
What is fool's mate?
When you play the two worst moves in Chess exposing your King right at the beginning of the game and you get checkmated the fastest way possible.

That is a speedrun from a Grand Master who explains what he's doing.
Chess Puzzles with a story a great way to learn.

Hope that helps!
Ok thank you, can you also give me some videos on endgames? the chessable courses about endgames cost money.
You need to work on basic principles first. If you watch those playlists I showed you, you should improve. Start with opening e5/e4. Take control of the center and blunder check constantly. When your opponent makes a move, check to see what it is threatening or what he is planning. At your level, plans will be simple. At my level or above is when they get complicated and a move that looks like a blunder isn't a blunder because if you take the 'free' piece bad things will happen and you lose. That shouldn't happen at your level unless someone has learned a trick. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure someone tries the 'Scholar's mate' trap on those Master players and you can learn by watching them how easy it is to fight off.
And if you do fall for a trick or trap, don't be discouraged, just learn from it and don't fall for it the second time. Even Grandmasters blunder, even Grandmasters can fall for tricks, they just do it rarely.

Here is a video that will show you one of the best players in the world, the player that eventually came in second place in that Tournament in fact, losing in 9 moves to a trap.
I need to learn how to play better. How does this sh crap happen to me.
