I keep playing the same principled openings, e4 e5 or d4 d5.. i have fix responses to theory openings like scandanivian or italian or sicilians.. but they are all the same old same. I dont wanna learn openings, and i do believe i have good endgame knowledge.. idk how to learn middlegame properly. what would be the best course for me? whats next?

I always play e4 e5 beginning an Italian opening, just because I’ve learned it and it’ll get you to middle game in good position. So I’m boring, but I’m with you: my openings are ok, my endgame isn’t too bad, but I struggle in the middle when there are too damn many pieces on the board for my brain.

I see, we are on the same boat it seems. It starts feeling that i keep drawing circles after a while. Not to mention how it feels once i reached my average rating. Rating is the same, moves are the same, everything is the same.. Nothing is happening.

Seriously? no one ever faced this problem? never had the feeling you were playing the same old same and not having any progress?
