Team Matches! I'm talking about 2x2. A team player have 8 moves or so then it's the other guy turn (1 move each would be just straight strange).

Golf and bowling are individual sports and can be played on teams, why chess cant?

1400+1600 player vs 2 1500. how cool would be that?

Each group on Chess.com play team chess. Right Team USA Is playing Team Rusia

They have about 400 players all playing as a team. They each will play as white and black.

All team on chess.com can play vote chess and that means that they all cast a vote and the move with the most votes gets made.

So we have what you suggested. I see you are in three groups and they probably have matches that you can play on.

There is a similar type of game that I played in person one year as a side event from the World Open.

It's played as Pairs.  The two can talk before the game to determine a common strategy, set of openings, etc.  But once the game starts, partners may not talk to each other.

Each side decides who will go first from each team.

The player going first on White's team plays the first 2 moves, the second player makes moves 3 thru 6, the first player makes moves 7 thru 10, the second player makes moves 11 thru 14, etc.

For Black, they switch at moves 4, 8, 12, 16, etc.

So it goes like this:

White A - 1.e4     Black A - 1...c5

White A - 2.Nf3   Black A - 2...d6

White B - 3.d4     Black A - 3...cxd4

White B - 4.Nxd4  Black A - 4...Nf6

White B - 5.Nc3    Black B - 5...a6

White B - 6.Bg5    Black B - 6...e6

White A - 7.f4       Black B - 7...Qb6

White A - 8.Qd2    Black B - 8...Qxb2

White A - 9.Rb1    Black A - 9...Qa3

Etc Etc.
