Well, he was of Sparta, the hardest guys around, but if you wish to be pedantic, the latin would be therefore - Spartacus, like cactus, plural Spartaci but Spartans is better, it is like trying to construct the plural of er.... England
Spartacus was a Thracian, Thrace being a region in the Balkans north of Athens. Sparta lies on the Peloponnesus, south of Athens, in a region known as Laconia. The name Spartacus should not be associated with the city of Sparta.
