I lose considerably more often as white. Any ideas?

I'm fairly new to chess and have noticed that I lose a lot more when playing as white.  When I look at my opponents stats, after analyzing the games, I notice that most people are more balanced or win more often as white.

Would the cause be my inexperience in leading the openings, as I'm usually more reactive as black?

Any constructive advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Play the same openings with white that you play as black, just with a tempo up.

That *should* improve things, in theory at least

What opening do you usually play as white? ive been having a lot of success with the kings gambit lately in blitz chess. I am an attacking player so the kings gambit works well for me.

Maybe read a book about chess openings.
