A frontal attack is where you push all your pawns forward. They're the frontline, as it were, hence the name. You should have all your pawns off the board before you move any of your other pieces, otherwise the pawns just get in the way.

Ponies are better than bishops, but only if they're posititioned at the edge of the board, on ether the A-file or the H-file. remember the old chess adage: "a knight on the rim is win".

Yeah, I looked at a few of your games, and I suspect you were trying to castle by moving the rook first, which is not the right way to do it. As NKT73 mentioned, you have to move the king first.

I think your OTB play can be dramatically improved by integrating aspects of tennis into the strategy you use against your opponent--aspects like the lob.

I just measured how far apart I can do that--grabbing one thing with my pinky and another with my thumb and pointer--and it came out to 15 cm. I have small hands and this is going to be exploited viciously if I start playing official OTB games again.  :(

The truth is that I suck at chess, but I don't have a problem admitting that I suck. I happen to respect the illogical way that my brain works......Anyone proud of themselves even if they suck at chess? Or are you all chess experts and get paid for playing so well?
