@urk .
I'm on a terrible chess period, need help!

I usually agree with pretty much everything you say so well. But I would probably advise a diet of Morphy over Dan Heisman. Not that I'm opposed to Heisman. His books sound pretty good from what I've heard, better than Silman. It would probably be better if beginners never heard the term "imbalances."

I'm going through the same thing at the moment, I think its best to take a short break, maybe a couple days to give the mind a rest.

Lol I tagged you because of your attitude towards blitz chess, which seems to be the OPs concern.
Obviously blitz chess wont be helpful.
I'm pretty hard to offend.

Or take a break as sharkey recommends.

I'd suggest taking a break. you've played a lot of games (believe me... I joined about the same time and I thought I played way too much).

Take a break. Certainly from blitz. Play some very very slow games. Watch some youtube videos that describe some famous games and spent 30 mins or more watching a single game. Read some chess books. This way you won't have to give up chess altogether (which I know is hard to do) but you can take a break from blitz. A change is as good as a rest.
Hello,
I started playing chess.com november last year (all I knew back then was how to move pieces). I started at 700, and took me a while to get where I am right now (1200).
Last week I was almost reaching 1300 rating, and now I'm almost getting back to 1100. I don't know what's happening. I'm really considering on quitting chess but I really like it and I'm kinda addicted to it, since I use to play alot.
One thing I can observe is when I lose 2~3 games in a row I tend to lose constantly. I'm a blitz player.
I need some advice to help me get back to the tracks if possible.
Thanks
