after months of intense suffering (lol, not really) i have reaped the fruits of my effort. 2 or 3 months ago, i was rated 1150, or so, although my average was 1200. since then, i have decided to study a lot, and, due to that, i can now proudly say that i am rated 1405 in live standard. thanks to all who wave given me USEFUL advice on my forums.

I spent 2 hours per day studying on the weekdays and i only played on the weekends. I studied mainly lectures on pawn structure by IM Valeri Lilov. his website, @Tigerlilov, is awesome and has many of his free lectures. I also read parts of IM Silman's "How to reassess your chess" which really helped my understanding of calculation. today, i spent almost 7 minutes calculating a rook sacrifice in a 15/10. I abandoned the idea, because almost 10 moves into, it didn't give me the attack i wanted. If you would like me to help you achieve my same improvement, i would be happy to help for free. Just send me a message or send and email to stephenvivaldi@icloud.com.
