i need some chess culture

Everyday i become more and more in love with chess but i still have little knowledge of how the actual chess world works i know that magnus is rated number one in the world under the FIDE rankings but i know he is not world champion what exactly does he have do to earn the shot at a game with the world champion to recieve the world title? and what is the overall chess communitys thouht of him?  i myself like him but i like nakumra better because he plays for my country but from what i understand nakumra cant beat him but he has been taking lessons from kasparov so maybe one day he can

I didn't like because it was superficial, and stupid.

The way i see it thought and i think this because of IM Andrew Martin that Fischer is the best chess player to ever live he got to the top all by himself he didnt use computers like carlsen

Magnus's #1 ranking makes him the best tournament player.  To my knowledge he's never played a match.  I think it's quite fair to say Anand is the best match player in the world right now.

Anad just had the shocking loss though and my dad commited suicide when i was 6 months old so your dad beating a dead guy isnt much of an accomplishment ;)
