Why would you announce it?? It's not like you are a really famous chess.com member.

The quiting part was a very miniclue part of the thread. (I acually am quiting chess in 6 dsays however)  I posted this thread to bring attention to the polish opening which is a FUN, almost theory free opening that leads to enjoyable games.

That sounded like a typical IM pfren jerkish response. Don't take him personally. It seems just the way he is. Make mistakes, laugh at them, you'll get better. I was terrible at the start of this Summer but since have started winning again. Everyone goes through slumps.

To me, Polish is a defense: 1.d4 b5.

Those who are able to tell when insanity has kicked in, never do quite possibly due to insanity in themselves.

If you're relying on an opening as crappy as the Polish then no wonder chess isn't the game for you. Try an opening move that doesn't completely suck.

I got a nice position against a 2000+ player in an OTB tourney once with 1...c6 2.Bb2 Qb6 3.a3 a5; he didn't know the sequence 4.c4 axb4 5.c5 and instead locked his bishop in with 4.c3?
