It is awesome. They even sent me a free copy of an outdated one just as a bonus and an incentive to order more I guess which I will certainly be doing once I have gone through the games.
I went through 5 or 6 games already. And they were so amazing I cannot even begin to describe the depth at which they were played. There was one particularly interesting one with the four knights(!) with a very tactical continuation in which white sacrifices a rook at a1 and tolerates a king at c3 in order to build up a great attack at f7. I analyzed with Stockfish and even Stockfish was not not able to find the right continuation which the NIC gave(the correct continuation is highly unbalanced with a rook and a queen for white against two rooks and two minor pieces for black but white is winning). I can only guess that the NIC guys must be using a stronger version. There was another game with the Sicilian Najdorf which was truly epic. It was the 6.Bg5 mainline in which black does not castle, and white sacrifices a knight on d5. I tested with Stockfish and it gave the position as equal. The player in question played Stockfish's second strongest move at the point at which the sacrifice was offered. I also learned a new variation of the Slav. There are so many nuances in chess and it takes a great teacher to teach them to you. I favor this way way way over Informant for which I am just not mature enough.
In other words, long story short, get a copy of NIC yearbook and see your rating rise.
