I played my first tournament this month 15th, and I had major problem with the vision. I usually play on on chess.com 2d board and it is generally clear...even I have my own plastic chess board of 9sqcm each square, a bishop height is about 4cm and king about 4.7 or 5cm. When I was in tournament match, the board seemed extra large... I couldn't get it replaced by smaller one when I asked tournament organisers. What happens with me? Well I don't get ideas, I sometimes miss that I am under check, I can't clearly understand what's going on the board...needs like 4 seconds to have first glance on whole board. Also something really strange, I would be lost(losing mind) for max 7 seconds! How can I tackle with this visual problem? I didn't memorise any main lines last time, because my most of the moves were depending upon the positions. I like positional play. Am I alone who faced this?

It's a common problem.

Once a week practice using a real chess board, not 2d.

If you have no one to play you can solve tactic puzzles.
