If you do a little chess every day and

You sleep a normal amount and

You eat normal meals and

You're not sick or emotionally upset or anything like that

Then it's rare to have a bad day. Bad games, sure, but inexplicably bad all day I don't think so.

It's tricky though because after getting not enough sleep, or not eating we usually feel pretty normal and expect ourselves to have no performance problems.

Sleep is the problem. I didn't think that kind of thing would effect a lower rated player like me. I guess it does matter.

Even strong players make blunders all the time. It's just part of the game.

This happens to me from time to time I think I lost about 80% of my games today, it happens unfortunately but it's a good lesson to try and get past it. Especially if you get as upset as I do when I get "humiliated" on the board. Just push past man and you'll see light at the end

I never blunder....and when I do ?....they never see it !

I haven't gotten a good night sleep in a while. Last night I just gave away a piece for no reason and no compensation in a game i was winning. I had a plan but made the second move in my calculations first which didn't work without the first move. Tired I guess
