A good chess player has memorized a lot of "chess cards"/patterns.
"Chess cards" is the purpose of this tool. You can create has many cards as you want. It can be used for memorizing patterns and also openings thanks to the colored arrows representing moves (from bright to dark) which are easier to remember.
