This sub completly lacks actual game analysis. To change this I will analyse all world championship matches starting with "Steinitz vs. Zukertort (1886)" until we reach "Carlsen vs ??? (202?)", posting one game per day. your comments and questions are highly encouraged. I hope you will join me on this long and gruesome journey. Please excuse my bad english.

Today I will start with the first official World chess championship "Steinitz vs. Zukertort (1886)". The winner would be the first to win 10 games. The time control was 30 moves in 2 hours and then 15 moves in 1 hour. The first game was played on January 11, 1886 in New york. Zukertort plays white, Steinitz black.

Well, call me silly, but wouldn't game analysis go better in the "Game Analysis" forum?
