if both players chose only the best options, would white always win due to the begging advantage?

I think both Alpha Chess Zero and Leela Zero will only play the Catalan as white unless forced to use an opening book and a randomizer.
Short of solving chess, as in computing every possible board position, it would be imposible to say if black can always force a draw or if white always wins.
Perhaps someday chess will be solved, but not without using quantum computers and holographic memory storage.

Begging doesn't help in chess. And as humans we do make mistakes, so it would never happen.
your right. Begging wouldnt help.

Of course begging helps - the game plays by itself as beggars can't be choosers

Nice concept but needs a lot of work on the delivery
what are you guys talking about? The only definition of begging that I know is asking for STH in an emotional way.

CHESS is not a solved game! we do not know who truly has the advantage, given the perfect moves. our small human minds might assume that white has the advantage, but only mathematics may give us a decisive answer.
